Title

Kempegowda International Airport,

It was night, and the flight to Pune, Maharastra, was about to depart. Sradhha (37) was seated beside the window in the Economy class. Her mind is so full of thoughts, meeting her friends after 15 years has been a wonderful memory and she even wished that those moments could've lasted a while longer as bidding them farewell once more has been painful for her.

She is returning from an alumni meeting at her college. All her classmates decided to meet finally after 15 years, in the same college where they all spent precious moments in their lives. Her mind is recalling those moments once again. Almost all of her classmates attended the meeting, except some of them they couldn't reach or had some important schedules to attend to. So far as she was concerned the meeting went smoothly as everyone was excited to talk to their old friends and recalled those moments once again. It was then all of their eyes turned to the big black BMW car, which entered the college suddenly. Everyone started to wonder who that person is and started cheering as they recognise who it is. Suddenly she felt her heart beating fast as she recognized the person who unmounted the car, the person she once loved in college, the person she once thought her love of life Viswas. Followed by him, his wife who she recognized as her classmate Vennela and his daughter who looks not more than 10 years old unmounted the car.

Viswas then parked the car aside and entered the meeting room where he apologized for his late arrival and introduced his wife and daughter to everyone. Everyone recognized Vennela since she was also a classmate and old friend. Everyone became excited about their arrival and welcomed them warmly. After that, the meeting went smoothly as everyone talked about their past experiences, their careers and their families, and the precious moments they spent together in college. As the Sun began to set, the meeting was finished and everyone once again bid farewell to their friends with teary eyes. Sradhha also returned after saying goodbyes to her friends.

Thoughts came to her mind as she seated on the flight. She recalled the moments she spent in college with her friends and then with the person she once loved in college Viswas. Her mind slowly started to recall those moments she spent together with Viswas as her eyes became blurred with the thin layer of tears.

She first saw Viswas at the fresher's meeting in college. She couldn't tell why, but she was subconsciously attracted to him at the first sight. His presence, his calm nature, his smiling face, and the way he was conversing with people around him, she couldn't help but kept looking at him the entire meeting. Later she comes to know that he is in the same class as her which excited her a bit. As their classes started, she couldn't help but watch him. His presence in every major activity in college, his way of handling things without taking stress, his way of conversing with people, his way of handling things, his enthusiasm to accept challenges, everything about him was so masculine that she couldn't help but fall for him the more she sees him.

It was after some days whether as a coincidence or luck for her, she became a lab partner with him. It was then they both started talking and became close. One day she decided to propose to him which he too happily accepted and then they entered into a relationship. Years passed and their relationship went happily. He was so caring for her and respected her opinions. But it was at the end of their final year that she realized that things won't work out between them as her parents wanted her to get married to a well-settled family. Despite his good performance in his studies, Viswas was from an average middle-class family. So finally she decided to end things with him as they don't have a chance to be together. Following the next day, she met Viswas and explained things to him, and suggested breaking up. Her decision broke Viswas's heart but he understood her situation and agreed with her. After their breakup, she didn't see Viswas so often in college, until today in the alumni meeting.

Her eyes became a little blurry as she recalled those moments with Viswas. But what surprised her the most was that Vennela, who is also from a well-settled family, too good at studies and managed to secure a job in a reputed company in campus selections chose a middle-class man like Viswas as her husband.

It was later at the meeting that she came to know that Vennela also has feelings for Viswas from the beginning and chose to stay quiet when Viswas loves Sradhha. But soon after their breakup, Viswas's feelings were broken as he couldn't keep up with his studies which resulted in a couple of backlogs when he left the college, which became the reason he couldn't get selected in campus placements either.

It was then that Vennela reached out to him and supported him to clear his backlogs and look for a job. She also recommended him to her company and he finally clears the interview and managed to secure a job. She was there for him every time he was stuck somewhere and supported him. She even supported him to leave the company after a couple of years to start his own business which became successful after a while. Eventually, she confessed her feelings to him which he accepted happily and love blossomed between them. After a while, they got married with their parent's permission and she even left her job after their marriage to look after him.

Sradhha seated calmly as the plane started to fly. She is happy for Viswas while couldn't help but compare herself with Vennela in this matter. She can tell how proud Viswas look of his wife by looking at him and the same goes for Vennela too. She never saw Viswas that way when they were in a relationship. But soon, she realized that she is thinking the obvious. She left Viswas when he is at his best, saying he is that successful while Vennela reached out to him while he is at his worst and supported him to become successful. A little smile appeared on her face as she recalled an old saying.

"The wise woman never let a loser become her man, while the best woman never let her man become a loser"
